They can also be use as a precautionary measure in during digestive disorders, before using antibiotics, many breeders also use it as a booster for the immune system. * The use of probiotics has been used and tested in chickens and psittacines but its usefulness has not been documented in passerines. |

The next morning mix 1 cc of Ivermecting per one liter of water or 4 cc to a gallon of water, mix thoroughly to homogenize the mixture and offer one ounce of the liquid per bird let them drink this mixture until the next morning when you will supply fresh water, you may repeat this procedure after 14 days. |

CARBARYL 5 % powder insecticide of moderate to low toxicity for humans may be use on all type of crawling insects in and around the aviary; it is also very useful for eliminating nest and feather parasites and mites. PYRETHRIN products are also very useful because they are safe for humans and pets but very effective against all kinds of insects, available in liquid or powder forms , simply follow the manufacture’s directions.
Keep the surrounding areas of your aviary clean. Mice are very attracted to seeds; if mice get into your aviary and simply urinate on the seed the consequences can be devastating, because they are carriers of many disease, and by the time you discover their presence it may be too late. |
