·        Ino (red eyes) - which can be sex linked or recessive (lutino, albino, rubino,         rosino)

CLASSIC MELANINS

The wild canary from Canary Islands , Madeira and Azores has a combination of black and brown pigments  melanin pigments and lots of phaeomelanin overlayed on a yellow ground and  lightly frosted feather, subjects will vary slightly from one region to another but in general the visible appearance is of a sage brush green coloration, this wild canary through mutations and the intervention of man has evolved into four classic melanins which are referred to as TYPE or SERIES these can furthermore be affected by other SECONDARY FACTORS which in turn alter the appearance of the classic melanins and are denominated NEW  COLORS or NEW MUTATIONS.
